Job Description

Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Agency Lettings Officer to work with Charnwood County Council. This position is initially for a period of 7 months and is paying £12.95 - £16.14 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).The role:The Letting Agency Coordinator role, while a specialist one, in important respects mirrors a similar administrative role coordinating the work of front-line housing advisors. The Letting Agency Coordinator will be expected to work closely with this other post-holder on some service-wide responsibilities and each post-holder will cover for the other during annual leave and other periods of absence.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the aims of the single homelessness service / social lettings agency project, and its current processes. Contribute to the development of new processes as Town Hall Lettings expands.
  • Under the guidance of THL management, take primary day-to-day responsibility for the administration of the letting agency. This will include developing and maintaining systems which record and anticipate key events like rents due, the creation and termination of tenancies, tenancy inspections, annual gas safety checks and other site visits, payments to contractors, payments to landlords and the collection of fees and rent deposit protection.
  • In support of the above, maintain a central office diary.
  • Write, and update as necessary, THL’s financial and administrative procedures.
  • Assist with the rent-in-advance / rent deposit scheme and take charge of the billing and recovery elements of the scheme.

  • Qualifications:N/A.
  • Experience:2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance:Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Travel:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours:37 hours p/w.
