Job Description

Job Role: Management AccountantLocation: Head Office, CoventrySalary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experienceContract Type: Full TimeEvent Support Team is a leading Events Company who manages an event from the planning stage to the implementation of the big day. We specialise in car park and traffic management with our in house built ANPR system to make ingress and egress as swift as possible. We work and have worked at some of the largest events in the world including, Rugby World Cup, Champions League Final, Olympics, Premiership Football, Premiership Rugby, Championship Football, Music Festivals, Concerts and many more!Our head office is based at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, where we have supported the Ricoh from the day of its construction to today and we work nationwide. We are looking for individuals who want to grow with us and develop their skills in our various roles.We are actively seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join the team. The role is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is seeking to manage a Finance function and assist the directors keep up to date with the companies finances;The duties and responsibilities of this role include;

  • Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
  • Undertaking financial administration and internal audits
  • Developing and managing financial systems / policies
  • Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
  • Oversee the payroll processes
  • HMRC submissions including VAT returns
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Banking duties
  • Liaising with all stakeholders including management, clients and suppliers
  • For this role we will require you to have;
  • Part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) desirable
  • Experience of full production of monthly management accounts
  • Experience working with non-financial stakeholders
  • Capable of multitasking and using initiative
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Up to date with finance regulations
  • Efficient with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Experience in the service and/or retail sectors desirable
