PURCHASE LEDGER MANAGER £40,000 P/A FULL TME, PERMANENT LONG EATON, NG10 SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Client in Nottingham for a Purchase Ledger Manager working in a vibrant office environment. Taking responsibility for a team of 6 x Purchase Ledger Clerks and reporting to the Commercial Manager you will: - Lead, mentor, support & motivate a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks to achieve their targets - Carry out regular team appraisals, highlight any staff knowledge deficiencies & initiate ongoing training to team members if required - Manage team workload, ensuring data is processed accurately & in a timely manner - Management reporting of purchase ledger KPIs & analytics - Closely monitor accounts to ensure cash flow is maximised with supplier accounts being paid to terms - Review / manage new supplier applications & obtain approval - Respond to & resolve complex matters that are escalated to you by the purchase ledger team - Ensure the purchase ledger policy & payment cycle is being followed & upheld - Ensure suppliers are paid to agreed terms & fully reconciled to statements monthly - Instigate & lead projects that support developments & improvements within the purchase ledger function with a focus on digitalisation & control - Communicate regularly & effectively with internal & external stakeholders to ensure all parties are kept up to date on relevant matters - Reconcile month end accounts to Trial Balance & assist in the purchase ledger invoice accrual Skills and Experiences: - Previous Team management experience, 12 months minimum - Previous purchase ledger experience including working with foreign currencies & multi-site / multi-entity environment - Working understanding of VAT - Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel - Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels - Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines Due to the nature of this role, you will have had previous Purchase ledger and management experience alongside management experience in a high volume environment and will be confident in helping with training and dealing with any escalations. You will alsohave excellent communication skills and be happy to work in a job share scenario. This is a full time permanent position offering free onsite parking.
