I am delighted to be recruiting for an Operations Manager for forward-thinking company that values innovation and continuous improvement based in Long Eaton. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in business management along withexperience within manufacturing. This role is hands-on and requires a comprehensive understanding of a manufacturing environment, including health and safety, HR legislation. The Operations Manager will be instrumental in leading several teams such as manufacturing,customer service and engineering driving continual improvements.Day to Day of the role:• Provide overall day-to-day management and leadership across various departments including Customer Services, Sales, Finance, IT, Design, Artwork, Engineering, and Manufacturing.• Mentor and support the development of the management team, particularly junior members.• Utilise systems to proactively identify and address potential issues, ensuring seamless production and timely delivery of critical jobs.• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve IT system errors.• Analyse and act on customer feedback, manage complaint resolutions, and implement continuous improvement strategies.• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals with staff members.• Work closely with the leadership team on budgeting, pricing strategies, appraisals, and key financial decisions.Required Skills & Qualifications:• A degree is desired however proven experience will be considered.• Solid experience in a management role within a manufacturing setting.• Proficient in IT and a understanding of machines work.• Knowledge of reporting systems, particularly Grafana, and the ability to interpret complex data.• Familiarity with GDPR.• Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective change management and process optimisation.Benefits:• Competitive starting salary.• Opportunity to work in a forward-thinking company that values innovation and continuous improvement.• A challenging and rewarding role with direct impact on the company’s success.If this role sounds of interest don’t delay click APPLY TODAY!
