An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role within London South East Colleges (LSEC) as a Youth Worker within our newly launched Youth Hub. The Youth worker will act as a coach and advisor to the customers that are accessing the Youth Hub, providing highly effective and independent guidance for careers and wellbeing that will support their progression into training or employment. What is a Youth Hub A Youth Hub is a DWP funded provision to support people on Universal Credit between the age of 18-24. The hub is physically located at LSECs Bromley Campus, but also provides a virtual service to ensure people can access the hub in line with all government guidance. The Youth Hub will receive referrals from DWP partners, at which point the Youth Worker will engage with the customer, build a relationship, understand their needs, and develop a personalised plan to support them into training or employment. What are we looking for The ideal candidate will be an individual that has previously worked as a youth worker and/ or holds an information Advice and Guidance (IAG) qualification. We would like the candidate to be able to demonstrate experience of providing careers IAG to meet the needs of individuals, especially aged 18-24 years old. To be successful in this role, youll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We also require the candidate to demonstrating high levels of organisation and can effectively use IT programmes and systems to support the required administration associated to the role. *Please apply as soon as possible as applications will be considered upon receipt; we reserve the right to interview before the closing date*.
