The Service is a key contributor to the prevention and early intervention / early help agenda including Hertfordshire County Councils aim of supporting young people to make a successfultransition to an economically independent adult life.It enables young people to succeed by providing high quality informal education opportunities to promote their personal and social development. It supports young people who are challenged in education, theircommunities or home life to ensure a successful transition to adulthood.This summer we are looking for applicants with some experience of working with young people (aged 13 to 16) to join one of a number of small local teams delivering local youth work programmesthroughout the county. Based at one of our young peoples centres or in another community venue young people will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of informal activities afternoons / early evenings. You could have the opportunity to get involvedin our exciting new HAP programme which provides free holiday activities for young people aged 13 to 16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. Our programmes support young peoples physical and mental health through activities including sports,dance, art and team challenges.
