The school has an Outstanding Ofsted rating and a supportive culture.It is a wonderful place for both students and staff members.Year 6 Teacher & Subject Leader responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and develop the Year 6 teachers using effective methods of performance management, including the setting of clear targets and monitoring.
  • Plan and deliver a creative, engaging, and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all Year 6 pupils and fosters a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with Year 6 teachers across the school to ensure coherence and continuity in teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Actively and consistently promote high standards of behaviour and attitudes to learning among Year 6 pupils.
  • Ensure that the provision of effective pastoral care and support is delivered to all Year 6 pupils.
  • Ensure the regular monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning in the Year 6 phase.
Year 6 Teacher & Subject Leader requirements:
  • QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
  • Relevant experience as a Subject Leader or equivalent position.
  • A good, up-to-date understanding of effective teaching, learning, and assessment in primary education.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that education is accessible to all pupils.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and the ability to promote a safe and secure learning environment.
