About the opportunity Department Description The Technology function within the Technology, Finance and Investment Admin department provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of businessapplications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including datacentre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Technology team has been structured as virtual teams created around business verticals. The various virtual teams aligned to each business provide strategic ITdirection and programme execution to support Fidelitys businesses in the UK, Asia Pacific and continental Europe. The virtual team is headed by the local Head of Delivery and supported by a dedicated delivery team and various other teams e.g. Enterprise Architectureand Technology Infrastructure Services Purpose of the Role The main purpose of the role is to provide support and guidance on the Control-M workload automation software and also assist with the support of Informatica within Fidelity. Management of day to daytickets and be involved in the deployment of the automation strategy within the Enterprise Scheduling Team. Key Responsibilities Support of the Control-M Enterprise Scheduling Tool. Support of the Informatica environment. Day to day management of tickets andissues. Some strategic projects enhancing the levels of supportability and security of the solution. Some callout will be required when the candidate has enough experience. Experience and Qualifications Required Basic understanding of the Linux and Windowsoperating systems. Understanding of basic networking and other IT systems including DNS / DHCP / Routing / Disk management. Previous experience scheduling tasks using any form of scheduling product e.g. Cron / Windows task scheduler. Previous experience withscripting in either bash / python / PowerShell or other languages. Understanding of cloud based solutions and appreciation of the challenges around Cloud computing. Experience and Qualifications Advantage Any experience of Informatica / Control-M workloadautomation. Any professional qualifications such as CompTIA A+ 1001 - 1002 or N+ or ITIL foundation. Understanding of Service Management such as management of incidents / problem records and change.
