Job Description

My high-profile Public Sector client now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Workforce Analyst with a genuine passion for analytics to join them on a permanent basis.As Workforce Analyst in this newly created role, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting a wide variety of complex HR datasets and providing a range of workforce analytical data to support the organisation moving forward with its reporting capability and ability to forecast trends.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, analysing and interpreting a broad range of HR data to support business processes i.e.: surveys, performance management, annual pay award, special bonus etc.
  • Designing and developing concise, accurate and timely reports and management information using data from several sources for a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing a workforce planning database that accurately maps the current baseline population establishment and staff in post
  • Taking ownership of the HR system data, ensuring continual review of its accuracy and implementing processes with HR Operations & HR Recruitment
  • Providing advice and guidance as required on data aspects of the work of the HR team and wider organisation
  • Oversight of all People MI and analytics including culture measurement
  • Anticipating future reporting requirements and trends in HR data analysis and making recommendations for developing and improving this area of HR activity
  • To be considered you will require:
  • Degree level education and/or significant experience in validating, interpreting and analysing a range of complex confidential and sensitive HR data, systems and reporting
  • A high level of mathematical/statistical ability
  • Demonstrable high-level IT skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel along with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • A proven ability to read and analyse complex data and then present this to different audiences in an understandable format through the creation of data dashboards, graphs and visualisations
  • A proven ability to interpret data for non-technical customers that tells the story behind the data to achieve better organisational outcomes
  • Experience in monitoring, auditing and improving data quality
  • A working knowledge of programming languages such as Oracle, SQL, Power BI
