Thats why our digital-first strategy puts consumers at the heart of everything we do, enabling usto deliver the best products and learning outcomes to more people than ever before.Pearson is listed on both the London and New York Stock Exchanges (LON: PSON; NYSE: PSO).Position Description:Purpose:We are looking for a Website Content Manager who will be responsible for managing the English Language Learning (ELL) websites on a day-to-day basis, including adding new content, checking for broken links and fixing bugs.We are currently consolidating ELLs multiple websites into a single website that is our number one champion, making it easy for all our customers to discover, choose and buy our products. The website will be maintained centrally but have multiple localand language-based sites beneath it. The Website Content Manager will receive updates via Jira, and action as appropriate.The Website Content Manager will continually be looking at ways to improve the customer experience and journey to meet the needs of our customers all around the world and advance our ELL global website. They should have an insatiable enthusiasm for improvementsto digital platforms and optimising conversion rates.The Website Content Manager will be responsible for regular catch-ups with all stakeholders to understand what jobs are in the pipeline and how the website can best reflect what they need and support our goal of a consumer-grade customer experience. Theywill also be responsible for sharing website best practice to ensure web content requests contain the relevant information.This challenging and busy position requires some flexibility in responding to last-minute issues, so is ideal for someone who is used to working in a hands-on role.   • Full ownership of all ELL website content including imagery, text, metafields and design.
  • Ensure website accuracy at all times.
  • Develop ways to improve how information is displayed.
  • Work with other stakeholders in the organisation to maximise the websites ROI.
  • Devise strategies to make sure the traffic to the website has the best possible customer experience.
  • Improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the website.
  • Provide regular reporting and feedback.
Candidate ProfileCompetencies
  • Extensive experience in website content management.
  • Strong experience of enterprise CMS systems e.g., AEM/Sitecore/Hybris/Episerver;
  • Have a strong design aesthetic.
  • Ability to edit / re-purpose content for websites.
  • Able to work to multiple deadlines with proven self-motivation and time management skills.
  • Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing (strong copywriting is essential).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
  • Have a track record of achievement, accountability, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
  • Evident fluency in English Language, being confident in speaking, reading, and writing communication.
  • Willing to push back on stakeholder requests to ensure that what goes onto the website is relevant and beneficial.
  • Experience in delivering online projects, working with third parties e.g., new websites,
development of gated content areas, online transactions, and website platforms.
  • Experience of reporting on online metrics particularly via Google Analytics.
Education, Qualifications & Training
  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Science, Business or similar field, or another relevant subject.
We have worked from home throughout the pandemic, but now adopt hybrid working since national restrictions were lifted; for this role that means visiting your base office no more than once a week however, adjustments to this due to personal circumstances& preferences are possible.We work a 37.5 hour week, with all our team free to flex their day around our core hours, which are Monday to Friday, 10 to 4 GMT/BST. School runs, etc can be accommodated. Other flexible working patterns can be considered, including part-time working andnon-traditional hours.
