Job Description

Morgan Hunt are looking for an experienced Waste and Recycling Enforcement Officet to join a well established local authority in East LondonThe Wast and Recycling Enforcement Officer will undertake the following duties:

  • Provide doorstep education to undertake waste and recycling assessments, respond to queries from residents to monitor performance and participation.
  • You will be a presence across the borough to address localised problems and change behaviours to achieve a safer and greener area.
  • Raise non-compliance with residents and explain corrective actions
  • Carry out formal enforcement action in line with council policies and procedures
    • The Waste and Recycling Enforcement Officer will need to have experience in the following:
  • Working with the public which includes face to face contact in an education or enforcement setting
  • Understanding of environmental enforcement
  • Experience of data collection
  • Experience of applying equal opportunities in a customer service environment
