My client is a leading European Wealth Management company. Following two successful hires at the end of last year, it has asked Barclay Simpson exclusively to recruit a VP/Senior Manager for its London based audit team. This role focuses on its Asset Managementaudit universe and reports directly to the Chief Auditor, so it is a high-profile position. Beneath this level the audit team has a pooled structure of Senior Auditors/Managers.This person should have some asset management internal audit experience and the ability to lead audits and deliver through managing small teams. Any area of asset management will be considered, this person doesnt have to be a front office expert. Possessingexperience in any of the following areas for example will be useful, investment operations, fund accounting, transfer agency, portfolio management, investment risk etc. While this position has a focus on Asset Management, there is flexibility to work on other areas of the business as well if desired. About 60% of time is spent leading/delivering on audits and 40% on stakeholder management, understanding the business and coachingmore junior staff members. While this position doesnt line manage it will help mentor one or two staff members while also managing a small team to deliver audits. Typically, audits are budgeted to be 60-100 days and, can last 2-5 months. You will be expectedto lead reviews from scoping to conclusion usually managing a small team to deliver the audit. The company supports flexible working and allows a minimum of one day a week in the office although there is an expectation that anyone starting a new role will physically be in the office more frequently initially to help develop their network and build importantrelationships. Travel is low although the occasional trip and overnight stay could be expected from time to time.To find out more contact me.#auditjobs
