Job Description

Join our programmes as a Project Manager in Nepal or Costa Rica, actively supporting our youth-led community and environmental projects for between 6 to 11 weeks in 2021Are you looking for a different 9-5 and want to get involved in meaningful projects that create lasting change We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and flexible volunteers to join our international programmes as a Project Manager and lead our volunteer teams in Nepal or Costa Rica. You dont need prior project management experience for this role, we are looking for proactive people who are enthusiastic about working with young people and taking on a challenge.Raleigh International is a youth-driven organisation supporting a global movement of people to take action. Our projects range from improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in rural communities, building schools, preserving protected environments and promoting sustainable livelihoods. To safely and effectively run our programmes, we need adult volunteers like you to join our Expeditions and bring your skills overseas.What will I do Facilitate, lead and inspire a diverse group of young international volunteers to complete impactful projects whilst developing their skills. You will be based on our community, environment or adventure projects in Nepal or Costa Rica, ensuring their safe and effective delivery. Work in a team alongside at least one other Project Manager or Medic on your project site. Be an effective mentor to each young volunteer, motivating them to grow as leaders and collaborate with their team. Gain key insight into the behind-the-scenes running of sustainable development programmes and all the practical challenges they encompass.When can I goWe are predominantly recruiting this role for our programmes in summer 2021, on the dates listed below:Nepal 20 Jun - 23 Aug (9 weeks) 17 Jul - 4 Sep (7 weeks)Costa Rica 22 Jun - 9 Sep (11 weeks) 22 Jun - 4 Aug (6 weeks) 5 Aug - 17 Sep (6 weeks)Benefits; Learn new skills to develop or change your career. This contributes to the cost of running our projects worldwide whilst also paying for all expenses for you overseas including: All food and accommodation throughout your Expedition All in-country travel including transfers to and from the airport tailored travel and health insurance Leading safety expertise supported by our British standard 8848 safety accreditation All necessary project training by experienced staff All project equipment, supplies and tools Full details on our websiteThis amount for our Expeditions on the dates given above is between £2,100 and £2,200.
