Working in partnership with universities across the country, the POLS team provide marketing, student recruitment,course content development, training and ongoing student support to universities and students alike.About the job:We are looking for a proactive, creative and self-motivated Videographer to join the POLS (Pearson Online Learning Services) team. Reporting to the Digital Production Manager, with project direction from the Senior Digital Producers, you will be responsiblefor the production and delivery of online learning content and assets for our online and blended course development projects and service development opportunities from handover of casting and scripting briefs through to filming, editing and delivery. The rolewill cover briefs sent in for any of our 8 partnerships and 30+ programmes and will cover a range of creative needsfrom producing animated explainer videos to filming interviews onsite across the UK and managing agency work.The ideal candidate will have a background in video production and/or digital production, with experience of creating online learning assets. You will need excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams andexternal suppliers to deliver learning experiences of outstanding quality.The job description reflects the current priorities of the company. It may need to be configured differently over time if these priorities change.Applicants must have a digital examples of professional work to share.Key accountabilities:Creative

  • Answer creative briefs from multiple stakeholders within the POLS division
  • Ability to produce varied and exciting creative concepts and present these back to stakeholders
  • Create static and motion-based graphics for various digital channels, including virtual learning platforms, learning interactives and social platforms
  • Provide best practice solutions to varying design and creative problems faced by the Digital Delivery team
  • Create suitable video templates for straightforward video edits for the rest of the team.
  • Create redraw artwork and assets across projects that are didactic but also adhere to accessibility guidelines
  • Brief work where necessary to external creative agencies and work in close collaboration with them on final output
  • Adhere to the brand guidelines for each of our partner universities.
  • Adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as published by the World Wide Web Consortium
Organisational
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple creative briefs at once, and adhere to strict deadlines and process footage in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain working asset files, including video and design work, image libraries, logos and audio files
  • File management, maintaining contacts lists, shoot/filming notes and release documents
  • Be confident in arranging all pre-shoot arrangements such as booking locations, filing location releases and co-ordinating scripts, stakeholders and travel.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders involved in creative projects accordingly - including our UX and Design Manager and Project Managers
  • Work closely with the Digital Producers to share workloads and provide some training / upskilling
  • Be comfortable and confident in deciphering creative briefs and collaborating on brief development with internal stakeholders
  • Be comfortable and confident in briefing external agencies or freelancers if required, such as working with voiceover artists or presenters and providing feedback
  • Must be flexible in travelling to filming locations around the UK (not applicable during pandemic)
Essential
  • Experience in filming on site pieces to camera and interview filming, confident in setting up and staging filming equipment on location including lighting, microphones, autocue and cameras
  • Experience in booking appropriate filming site licenses and gaining talent release approvals
  • Proficiency in using the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition
  • Proficiency in video editing, mastering and optimising
  • Proficiency in expertly interpreting design and branding guidelines and applying them P
