Vessel Space Management

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Closely follow cargo booking/ deliveries. Report to the commercial departments and directors upon request and/or with fixed scheduled reporting as required.
Monitor the booking/ forecasting behaviours of our representatives and allocate space accordingly.
Identify imbalances between available cargo against capacity and alert relevant parties providing cargo splits and details as required.
Liaise with stow planners in regards to voyage by voyage configuration.
Participate and contribute to weekly schedule/ service meetings supporting the commercial departments and directors with detailed cargo volumes information.
Produce weekly/ biweekly capacity and performance reports, inclusive of possible alternative scenarios.
Ensure all liner cargo commitments and responsibilities are respected.

General skills and experience required:

Minimum of 3years experience in the shipping sector. (VSM experience highlyadvantage)
Excellent coordinating skills, providing the link between commercial and operational departments of the organisation.

Able to identify the source of problems and provide swift solutions / guidance.
Well organised, numerical and capable of multi-tasking.
Effective as an individual with own initiative but equally capable of being part of a joint ventureteam.
