Job Description

VEHICLE INSTALLATIONS MANAGERSalary Range - £35 - £45K with ProgressionDynamic and driven Vehicle Installations Manager needed for fast growth, market leading Vehicle Technology Company. This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing team, develop deep product knowledge and learn many new technical skills.The CompanyEstablished for over a decade, the company supplies and installs smart vehicle camera and AI driven vehicle safety systems. A wide portfolio of clients, including some of the largest vehicle fleets and dealers in the UK, has resulted in continued company success. Building on these achievements, the company is poised to launch several exciting new technologies to automotive OEMs and the fleet/commercial vehicle market. As an agile SME in a high growth market, new job roles have become available to support upcoming project work.The RoleBeing the Engineering Lead for all Operations and Projects, this role is both exciting and varied. Full training will be provided during the induction period. The key duties/responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing in-house field service engineers by booking installation and service work in advance.
  • Working with and managing sub-contractors to book project work and support customers.
  • Creating vehicle and customer technical specification / training guides to support all engineering activities.
  • Assisting project leads by planning vehicle and equipment allocation, vehicle installation scheduling and customer communication.
  • Where required for project work, traveling to various client and project sites to support engineering work.
  • Auditing and training all engineers, ensuring excellent levels of health and safety, and maintaining the highest standards of job workmanship throughout all engineering activities.
  • Assisting the Development Team in testing and rolling out new technologies.
  • Experience
  • The individual will be an experienced Engineering Manager, who has a minimum of 5 years’ working in the auto-electrical industry focused on commercial vehicles.
  • Needs to be passionate about vehicles and worked with a wide range of commercial vehicles, such as, HGV, light commercial, bus and plant.
  • Have demonstrated good customer service skills in a role where daily client interaction was required.
  • Track record of efficiently meeting timelines and managing projects effectively.
  • Qualifications and Education
  • A full UK driver’s licence is essential (preferably clean).
  • Auto-Electrical qualified preferred but not essential.
  • Personal Qualities
  • To be positive, tenacious, and compassionate.
  • A dynamic, impressive individual capable of self-motivating.
  • Willing and wanting to learn new skills and new tech.
  • Capable of being hands-on’ technically both for hardware and vehicle installation/service work.
  • Outgoing and extrovert, with a keen sense of teamwork.
  • Enjoys challenging themselves and problem solving.
  • Package
  • Highly competitive salary and with an excellent progression model.
  • Basic Pay – £35K - 45K per annum (depending on experience).
  • 25 holiday days per year + bank holidays.
  • Location of work - London SE18.
  • Minimum 42.5 hrs per week.
  • Some evening/weekend work is expected, to complete important tasks / support projects.
  • Immediate start available.
