Job Description

The CompanyQuest have proudly partnered with a leading retailer looking for aSenior UX Designer to join their team. They have invested significantly in their digital proposition (prior to covid) and are looking for a hands on designer to join their expanding team.The role will suit someone with their finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest eCommerce best practices.The OpportunityThe UX Designer will be responsible for managing creative, UX, and front-end development projects.Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure effective delivery of user-centric digital experience
  • Present and playback experience maps, wireframes, user flows and designs
  • Produce journey maps, personas, scenarios, process flows, information architecture diagrams and other artefacts required to develop and evolve product definition and user experience design.
  • Adopt an insight driven design approach that thrives on validation of key decisions and rationale
  • Pioneer performance driven design by making continuous incremental improvements to keep the website and emails aligned with emerging UI and Ecommerce trends and standards.
  • Share a strong understanding of typography design concepts and digital design best practices
  • Create work of the highest standard that will impress clients and resonate within the eCom landscape
The PersonTo be successful in your application you will be experience in working across User Interaction design, User Research, Rapid Prototyping, Wire framing and all aspects of web design. Other core skills/experience include:
  • 5 years digital design and UX experience gained within the retail space
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating clean and professional design across web/mobile/digital
  • Experience in eCommerce platforms and CMS systems andnowledge of HTML, CSS, web standards (JavaScript will be a bonus)
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of UX design methodologies, techniques and tools
  • Ability to adopt different user testing strategies and analysis of testing results to drive decision making and product improvements
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Motivate and lead a team (Internal/Agency)
  • MVT testing experience on relevant tools
