Are you interested in working a fast-paced consultancy service within a charity, covering a wide range of projects that make a positive impact on peoples livesRNIBs User Experience team is looking for our new User Experience Assistant to work with internal and external clients and RNIB service users. The team work with external companies on making websites, apps and products more accessible and usable, especiallyfor those with sight loss and also carries out testing with blind and partially sighted users.You will help us organise user testing for our consultancy clients and will be in contact with blind and partially sighted people who will test products, apps and websites. You will be responsible for organising the test schedule, inviting participants andbe arranging the logistics of the testing (e.g. travel requirements, expenses etc).We are looking for somebody who has great organisation and time management skills that is confident using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint). You will be able to work independently, but also be an integral part ofour team.The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in learning about accessibility, usability and how blind and partially sighted people use products, websites and apps, there will be opportunities to learn about this area.Although the job is home based, most of the of physical testing takes place in Peterborough or London and the job will require occasional travel to these offices, or to other parts of the UK.This role could be ideal as a part time position, although we do require you to be in 3 - 4 days a week. You are able to work shorter days and this might suit somebody who would like to mainly work school hours for example. We will provide training however,you may have a background in administration.
