Job Description

US / International D&F Property Claims Adjuster - Lloyds SyndicateLondonUp to £98,000We are currently recruiting for a US / International D&F / Treaty Property Claims Adjuster or a Senior Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a long established and highly regarded top tier Lloyds syndicate.The successful candidate will focus on handling the Syndicates lead and follow US & International Property Claims, to include Binder, Open Market and Reinsurance Claims.Responsibilities

  • Handling Property claims for the Syndicate.
  • Negotiation and liaison with clients, brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers, including overseas travel where necessary.
  • Provision of cover for the Senior Adjuster, providing technical guidance to other team members.
  • Attendance at market meetings.
  • Working on accurate and timely case reserving, as an important feed into the reserving process.
  • Providing Underwriters with feedback on claims issues, wordings and related risk information to improve the overall quality of underwriting.
  • Liaising with external Claims Administrators, potentially including the carrying out of claims and procedural audits.
  • Review the interpretation of policy wordings with Underwriters.
    • Requirements
  • 4-10 years of experience handling US / International Property claims, ideally in a Lloyds Syndicate, is essential.
  • Experience of US Open Market Property Claims is essential , whilst Binder and Reinsurance Claims experience is nice to have.
  • Degree level education is essential. ACII or FCII qualifications will also be considered.
