We are currently looking for a Upstream Process Scientist to join a leading Cell and Gene therapy company based in the London area. As the Upstream Process Scientist you will be responsible for supporting the development of novel cell and gene therapies. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Upstream Process Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Based in the laboratory you will be driving the development of cell and gene therapy technologies within upstream processing. This includes cell culture, viral vectors and the use of lab scale bioreactors. 2. Collaborating with process and analytical development scientists in academic and industrial settings using GMP knowledge3. As the upstream process scientist you must carry out analytical techniques such as flow cytometry, metabolite analysis and PCR. 4. Use cell culture experience to ensure cell therapy and gene therapy technology can be scaled up. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Upstream Process Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in life sciences such as stem cell and regenerative medicine, bioprocessing, biotechnology. biochemical engineering, biopharmaceuticals. A PhD is desirable. 2. Proven industry experience in a cell and gene therapy industry within a GMP setting . 3.
