Job Description

Underwriting Assistant required to work near Bond Street tube station.The role will focus on supporting Lending Managers with proving accurate information for case files.Key responsibilities:

  • The Underwriter Assistant will act as a go-between, communicating with introducers and brokers.
  • Candidates will have a proactive approach to gather information via all channels, updating case files (as
  • Preparing new case files, with expected searches, using appropriate tools. Such as Land Registry, AML, KYC checks, and other intelligent checks.
  • Maintaining hard/soft copies of the case file, along with keeping invoice payments up-to-date.
  • The Underwriter Assistant will interact with valuer/surveyors concerning valuation instruction, valuation inspection, and valuation report.
  • Operating efficiently & maintaining key relationships with various service providers inc, Valuers (PI Covers & Panel List), Sira, Call credit, Experian, NCI, and Land Registry - among others.
    • Key Skills:
  • Ideally you will have 1 to 2 years Underwriting experience. If not then you have to have worked within a Financial establishment to me considered.
  • Experience supporting basic Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel, etc.
  • Able to identify potentially fraudulent activity, escalating concerns to compliance, as necessary.
  • Providing excellent internal/external customer service to customers and clients.
  • Strong sales experience will be highly advantageous for this role, especially out bound call sales
