Job Description

ROLE: In-House UK Tax Manager (Leading Multinational Group)SALARY: £60,000 - £80,000DURATION: 6-month FTCHYBRID: 1-2 days per week in officeAn exciting opportunity working for a market-leading multinational group as a UK Tax Manager has come to the market.The business is currently undergoing a Corporate Tax & VAT outsourcing project and as the UK Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing this compliance process through the first few months. In addition to this, you will also be responsible for advisorywork and working on additional projects, whilst assisting the team with compliance and reporting work.If you enjoy project-based work and would like the chance to be a part of a crucial period in the Groups journey, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the outsourced UK compliance and reporting (VAT and CT); facilitating the hand-offs between the business outsource provider and the finance teams, identifying and escalating any issues, and helping to plug any gaps in the short term.
  • UK advisory work - e.g., assisting with HMRC enquiries, dealing with transactional VAT queries from the finance teams, review and document the UK CFC position.
  • Deal with other routine UK compliance, such as withholding tax clearances.
  • Help to document and develop processes as we move certain tax projects into BAU - e.g., plastic packaging tax, the patent box calculation.
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified OR qualified by experience (at least 4-5 years of tax experience).BENEFITS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
