The RoleUK & International Equity Settlements (Urgent)FJR Finance is representing a highly successful, global (but mid-sized) City-based Equity trading house to hire an urgently temporary UK & International Equity Settlements Analyst within their Operations division. The role is looking for an urgent start and will not look at anyone over a 1-week notice period. The position is temporary, initially for 3-months with the strong potential for either extension, or even permanent.The interview process will be either via Microsoft Teams, or Zoom and the role will also initially be "working from home", with full on-the-job training to be provided.Markets covered include UK & Ireland (Crest), EMEA, North America and Asia.The role supports their UK Equity trading desks, as well as their new electronic Equity trading desk.Our client is also now trading Stock Lending, so any exposure to SLing will also be highly advantageous.Our client is in need of a strong UK & International Equity Settlements Analyst who is able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Equity Settlements within International markets including UK (Crest), European Domestics, Euroclear, Fast Eastern markets and US/ DTC.There is also aseparateCorporate Actions team within their Equity Operations department, so if you have the relevant and strong Equity Settlements experience andCorporate Actions, this would be highly advantageous.The department already has some existing processes set-up, but are looking for someone that can add value and energy to look at process improve and efficiency and fully support the trading desk.Summary of main tasks and responsibilities:- Settlement of global Equities utilising internal systems, Crest and BNP- Trade queries and matching with client & market counterparties- Exception and fails monitoring- Stock borrowing- Depot movements including Cross-Border stock movements- Reconciliation of stock and cash positions- Client post-trade communications- Aid workflow as required during busy periods across the Settlements team- Holiday cover for other team members as required- Documentation of related procedures and process flows- Liaison with Front Office/ Counterparties / other operational areas as required- Participate in cross training within Operations Department- Attend and participate in departmental meetings- Abide by internal policies- Ensure any administrative tasks, within the area, are undertaken as required, in a timely and efficient manner.- Flexible approach to occasionally working later evenings, weekends and bank holidays as dictated by work schedule, trading patterns and project timetables- Regular creation, development and presentation of accurate KPIs for management (MI)- Escalate any issues of concern to management- Such other comparable duties that may be required or requested by your line managerSalary£200 per day - £250 per day.
