UCR Inclusive Learning Team LeaderSalary: £22,709 - £24,959 per annum (A27 - A30)Basis: Permanent, full timeUniversity Centre Reaseheath (UCR), part of Reaseheath College is searching for an outstanding candidate to join us on a full-time permanent basisas our UCR Inclusive Learning Team Leader. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the provision of effective, accessible, and compliant inclusive learning support for university students enrolled at UCR. This role comes at an exciting time as UCR develops our approachto student support - this role offers the successful candidate opportunity to help shape and move forward these developments.As part of the University Centre Reaseheath Leadership Team, this post will coordinate the UCR Inclusive Learning Team. Reporting directlyto the HE Academic Registrar this team forms a key part of UCR Registry and Academic Services. Specifically providing a range of essential services which enhance student learning opportunities and promote inclusion. These services include disability advicefor students and staff, specialist learning (DSA funded mentors) and bespoke study mentoring. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation this team supports the continuous enhancement of the UCR university student experience.The ideal candidatewill have demonstratable experience of working in student learning support within a College or University setting. They will have a track record of working with students with SpLDs in a coaching or mentoring capacity. You should have an excellent understandingof issues related to diversity and social inclusion.Candidates will ideally possess knowledge of specific learning difficulties on learning and teaching, needs assessments methods and reasonable adjustment/learning plans. Specialist areas may include dyslexia,mental health or autism. The successful candidate will also possess strong IT skills. Good leadership, team-working and communication skills are essential.Key roles/responsibilities: Coordinates the services offered by the Inclusive Learning Team. Promotesand supports an inclusive learning environment. Ensures compliance with quality assurance processes and legislation. Provides 1:1 study support for individual students to maximise learner potential. Acts as a key contact for the Disability Support Allowance(DSA). Provides disability advice to staff and students. Provides effective line management of the Inclusive Learning Team. Maintains relations with partner HEIs support services to ensure adherence to their regulations and policies.
