They are willing to consider candidates coming from a middle office background providing you have experience with FX and equities and ideally some skills in SQL/Python. Typical daily responsibilities: Execute FX and Fixed Income trades utilising firm-widebalances in various currencies Daily cash management monitoring Execute primary and secondary block trades Work closely with the main trade execution desks Analyse broker costs including financing, commissions, borrows, rebates etc. Ensure optimal broker flowallocation Monitor trends in the market and research/evaluate existing / new broker offerings Evaluate Exchange liquidity providing schemes Build and maintain exchange models. The type of person: Should have a solid academic background and be a naturally solverA number of years of relevant transferable experience, perhaps someone coming from a Prime Brokerage, Prop Trading firm, Investment Bank or a Middle Office / Operations role from within a Hedge Fund Preferably prior exposure to cash management including managingmargin calls and collateral payments Possess a good understanding of trading exchange houses and trading / broker commission costs Asset class knowledge across equities, bonds and FX swaps; some trading experience is an added bonus but not a necessity Goodknowledge of SQL and Python would be a plus.
