Job Description

Treasury and Data analystPearsons Treasury, Risk and Insurance team has established a reputation as a ground-breaking team, winning awards for its social bond debt issuance, in house bank structure and cash forecasting is now seeking a new experienced analyst with strengths incash and risk management and a good understanding of data analysis.The character of the team is reflected in the its values:

What youll be doingThe role involves:
  • Management of cash and foreign exchange transactions to centralise cash and mitigate foreign exchange exposures
  • Preparation of and analysis of short and medium term multi-currency cash forecasts
  • Controls work including validation of automated reconciliations (and dealing with exceptions) and ensuring all treasury policies are adhered to
  • Repatriation of cash balances from harder to reach territories where cross border pooling is not possible and exchange controls may be in place
  • Validation of treasury data and the creation of rules to ensure that all bank transactions are appropriately coded to allow easy analysis
  • Project work including assisting with accounting opening and closures relating to mergers and acquisitions and work to optimise our banking structures
  • Oversee the administration of intercompany funding and loan payments in relation to the Treasury in house bank
  • Support the month end reporting requirements such as derivative valuations, cash flow forecasts and inter-company settlements (cash and non-cash)Ensuring compliance with key policies and controls
  • Liaising with operating companies and sharing best practice guidance within Pearson
