Key responsibility of the role is to ensure effective and efficient recording of treasury transactions withinaccounting records and systems in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Client DetailsOver the last few years, the client has invested organically and inorganically to grow into one of the largestindependent E&P companies in Europe. Their aim is to be the leading independent E&P company by meetingsocietys changing energy needs and creating value for all stakeholders.Description* Conduct day-to-day and month-end accounting and reporting activities for the Groups oil and gashedging activities;* Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations for derivative transactions to ensure integrity ofaccounting data interfaced from Treasury CTRM system to the Groups ERP SAP system, andsubsequent reporting systems in conjunction with the Group Finance and Operating UnitAccountants;* Implementation and maintenance of hedge accounting relationships for the Groups Operating Unitsincluding the preparation of hedge documentation, performing hedge designations or designationsand supporting hedge effectiveness testing process when required;* Providing insight into derivatives movements of actuals against budget and forecast and providingsuitable commentary for review;* Contribute to the preparation and review of Treasurys monthly management information reportdistributed to the Groups Senior management and key stakeholders;* Participate in treasury systems developments including upgrade testing and processautomation/enhancement to gain efficiencies;* Provide support and cover to the Back Office Treasury Analyst;* Adhoc project work as required for Group Finance function.Profile* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with significant technical accounting experience with indepth knowledge of hedge accounting under IFRS 9 (commodities, currency and interest ratehedging);* Recognised Treasury qualification (ACT or equivalent) is desirable;* Experience with a Treasury Management System;* An eye for detail and accuracy in reporting;* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral* Excellent analytical skills;* Good project management skillsJob OfferGreat package
