Job Description

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a leading FTSE listed wholesale company, they are hiring for a Treasury Accountant to join their finance team in LondonThis is a fantastic opportunity to develop your treasury career in a dynamic and multifaced role, with plenty of future scope for movement and growth within the business. Please take a look at the duties below:

  • Control all reporting of treasury transactions, including accounting for intercompany structural loans and working capital facilities and prepare reconciliations of key ledger accounts.
  • Oversee the Groups intercompany reconciliation process and manage and develop the recently implemented Coprocess intercompany matching system.
  • Assist with the ongoing development of the Groups Treasury management System (IT2) and accounting system (SAP).
  • Manage the Groups hedge accounting process, including review of initial hedge set up, hedge documentation and effectiveness testing.
  • Liaise with auditors and internal customers on matters relating to treasury accounting and prepare treasury disclosures for the annual report and half year announcement
  • Assist with the preparation of United Kingdom annual financial statements using Caseware accounts preparation software.
  • Keep abreast of changes to accounting standards and regulations relevant to financial instruments and ensure the organisation is aware of new reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports required by Group Finance, Group Treasury and the Shared Service Centre.
  • Support the Treasury budgeting and forecasting process
  • Provide routine and ad-hoc analysis as requested by Divisions and Group Finance.
  • Ensure Treasury accounting is completed on timely basis in SAP and disclosures in the Group HFM consolidation system to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Seek ways to improve the treasury accounting process.
  • Manage Treasury compliance (supported by Group Treasury)
The Candidate must be ACA or ACT qualified/part qualified, with knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system. Intermediate or better Microsoft Excel skills with experience of management and financial reporting and a good understanding of accounting for treasurytransactions. Previous experience using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is desirable
