Business UnitAudit & Assurance - Audit Quality Support Team (AQST)Reporting ToAudit Training LeadKey RelationshipsAQST, Audit Learning Team, Audit Service LineGradeManager / Senior Manager (depends on experience)FT/PTCan be part time or full time with additional responsibilities within the Audit Learning Team / AQSTLocationLondonJob Details Sat within the Audit service line, this role will play a key part in the onboarding and induction process of all experienced new hires into the department.The Mazars Audit service line has grown significantly in the last few years, from approximately 600 staff in 2019 to over 1200 in 2022. A lot of this growth has been through lateral hires from other firms. Whilst these experienced Auditors may well knowhow to audit elsewhere, they need to be trained on the Mazars methodology, templates, tools and software. If they have come from overseas, they also need to be trained on UK nuances such as the UK corporation tax rules, FRC Ethical Standards etc.This role will be responsible for delivering an Audit induction training programme to all new experienced hire audit staff through face-to-face teaching in a classroom format within the Mazars offices.The firm has two start dates a month and we have made a commitment to the Audit Service Line to train the new hires within their first two weeks at the firm, so they are then ready to be client facing, equipped with knowledge of how to audit at Mazars.The Mazars Audit Induction programme has recently been redesigned to be up to four days in length (including training for overseas hires).Therefore, this role could be suitable for someone who would like to work 50%: five days every two weeks (four delivering content and one preparing materials/ liaising with the Audit Learning team).Alternatively, if a suitable candidate is looking for a full-time role, we have plenty of other projects within the Audit learning team and the wider Audit Quality team that could fill the time not required by facilitating induction.Job Role Delivery of face-to-face induction training in accordance with the content agreed with the Audit Training Lead. Demonstrate correct usage of Mazars tools, templates, software (after learning oneself). Plan and prepare effectively for each training course to be delivered. Request and ensure that we capture feedback from participants. Build an effective rapport with the participants. Attend and contribute to team meetings and other internal meetings as required. Cooperate with the team to resolve any resource constraints on other teaching courses as required and when practicable. Report attendance of training courses to Audit Learning team on a timely basis.Person Specification & Academic Requirements Previous experience in delivering or facilitating training courses; A background in delivering external audit would be highly beneficial; Strong communication and project management skills; High regard for quality and attention to detail; and Behaviours consistent with Mazars values, a positive individual who can demonstrate they are truly a team player.Inclusion at MazarsAt Mazars inclusion is central to our values.
