Summary of the key purposes of the roleTMT Finance is positioned in the Investment Banking Division and is responsible for structuring debt financings (i.e. leveraged buyouts, infrastructure financing and acquisition financing) for private equity, infrastructure sponsors and leveraged corporatesactive in the Telecom, Media and Technology sectors. The team won TMT Financing Bank of the Year in EMEA in 2023, reflecting the banks lead positions on the most significant TMT deals across the region. Summary of responsibilitiesAs a trainee in the team, you will be responsible for: • Marketing / Origination o Preparation of financing pitches and marketing materials for private equity, infrastructure sponsors and corporates o Mapping of future opportunities • Execution / Structuring o Analysis of companies and projects (business, market, strategy, financials, investment merits, risks) for the credit committee memo. Preparation of materials for syndication including the information memorandum and management presentation o Preparation of the financial model, on the basis of which the financing structure is defined (amount, facility type, tenor, margins, etc). This involves LBO modelling, infrastructure project modelling, financial statement analysis, and development of financialprojections o Collaboration with a range of internal departments of the bank, including capital markets (DCM, ECM, Loan Syndication), M&A, and derivatives teams o Interacting with external parties, such as private equity and infrastructure clients, advisors, lawyers, accountants, rating agencies and consultants o Assist in closing transactions by utilising the banks internal systems and working with various middle and back office functions • Portfolio management o Assist the team with managing the portfolio of borrowers and clients • Other o Ensuring the team consistently meets excellent standards with respect to operational management, communications and governance Profile requiredEssential • Interest in LBO, infrastructure and acquisition financings • Accounting and corporate finance knowledge • Interest in the TMT sector • Financial modelling skills • Excellent analytical skills • PowerPoint skills • Ability to work quickly and accurately • Ability to work under time pressure • Ability to communicate articulately • Work effectively within a team • Client focused • Fluency in English Why join usPeople join for the impact they can have on us.
