Societe Generale is seeking a Trainee within our Risk Management Division to contribute to the sustainable development of the companys activities and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a good level of financial technical knowledge and a genuineinterest in financial products and market risks. The role will include analysing UK performance and risk factors related to trading activities in compliance with the banks risk policies and appetite. They will also be responsible for following up on the activityof trading desks in Europe and market moves. Additionally, they will contribute to management reporting and overview of risks, results, and exposures, and help to detect UK specific market and key market events. The Trainee will be responsible for extractingrelevant information from periodic reporting to detect trends and assist in performing cross-asset controls. They will also develop key tools to produce metrics links to overshoot statistics, limits in place, transversal graphs, and overall risk metrics deployedat the UK level. Additionally, they will communicate with risk factor experts on stress test shocks calibration, the impact of changes on the UK perimeter, ad-hoc stress testing reviews, and key risk factor review mechanisms. Profile requiredThe ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, including the ability to understand problematic issues and provide solutions. They will also have excellent communication skills, an excellent level of written and spoken English, and the ability tobe flexible and adaptable. Additionally, they will have the confidence to take their initiative and work autonomously where required, report alerts, and liaise with colleagues at all seniority levels. Finally, they will have the ability to work well withina diverse team in a busy office environment and possess good tool development skills.
