We are seeking a Trainee to join our European Leveraged Capital Markets team at Societe Generale. The team is responsible for arranging, underwriting and syndicating non-investment grade loans, bonds and private subordinated debt across the EMEA region.As a Trainee, you will support senior members of the team in underwriting, structuring and executing Societe Generales leveraged transactions in EMEA. You will provide support on both analytical and presentational work, produce reliable and accurate marketdata and comparable analysis, assist senior colleagues, and promote integrated financing solutions via the preparation of materials for the Leveraged Capital Markets teams. You will help to prepare presentations and assist in the creation of syndication androad-show materials. Whilst working directly for the team, you will have a mentor whose responsibility it is to ensure you are learning about all aspects of the business on an ongoing basis. Profile requiredThe ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a good basic knowledge of and interest in financial markets, macroeconomics and related geopolitical events. You should have excellent time management skills as the role involves multi-tasking, prioritisingand meeting tight deadlines. You should have an excellent level of written and verbal English - additional languages are advantageous but not essential. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required. You should be willing to ask questions andlearn new skills. Excellent communication and presentational skills are a must, as is the ability to be adaptable and flexible and work well as part of a diverse team in a busy office environment.
