Job Description

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Trading Platforms and Application Support Analyst to be based within the London office.Main responsibilities within the Trading Platforms and Application Support Analyst position include:

  • Provide application support for all trading platforms
  • Active monitoring of platforms & the ticketing system
  • Reference data maintenance
  • Trade reconciliation
  • Handling of client queries resulting from day to day trading (Brokers & External clients)
  • Client data updates (Instruments / Accounts)
  • End of day reporting
  • Updating documentation / knowledge base
  • Fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that encourages an appreciation of diversity, cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working together effectively to enable each employee and the department to achieve its goals
  • Communicating in a friendly, helpful and non-prejudicial manner with all relevant internal and external stakeholders as you are a representative of your department as well as the Group and therefore expected to behave accordingly
  • Undertaking and passing all necessary training in line with the requirements of the role
  • Adhering to all Tradition policies and applicable legislation
  • Any other duties reasonably requested
  • Due to the nature of the role you may be required to work extended hours at short notice to complete the work required to meet the business needs
  • May be required to be on-call or to work occasional weekends
    • Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:Required:
  • Application Support experience within a financial institution, ideally trading floor
  • Experience of working with FX & IRS, Bonds, and Inflation markets and trading platforms
  • Understanding of a blotter and whiteboard and support of such applications
  • Good working knowledge of FIX protocol
  • Use of Linux commands
  • Use of a ticketing system for incident, service and change management
  • Excel / VBA Skills
  • VBScript and Powershell
  • A-Levels / Degree qualifications
    • Desirable / Advantageous
  • Knowledge of Equity Derivatives and Energy markets
  • Knowledge of Trayport
  • Japanese language skills
