Job Description

A client of ours is looking for a Trackside Manager to join their F1 team ASAP. This is an amazing position, which can take you around the world and would really suit someone who has come from a yacht background and is looking for some more adventure intheir lives!This role ultimately manages the trackside hospitality and catering team in delivering exceptional levels of service to our client and their VIP guests. Leadership and management of people is essential as well as organisational and project management skills.A passion for creating a warm and welcoming environment and seeing your team thrive is fundamental to its success. High standards of customer service, hospitality and an attention to detail will come naturally to this person, enhanced from a background inluxury and high end catering, hospitality and service.Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and inspiring the catering and hospitality team trackside including working hours, time management, job roles, presentation, service levels, time in between races and responsibilities.
  • Leading and orchestrating the team from the top with a focus on the overall picture, delegating and managing tasks and responsibilities to the bring out the best in the team.
  • To be the key contact trackside for our client, affiliated members, drivers, trainers, owners, VIPs, tracks service to centralise communication, absorb and deliver, delegate and complete as necessary.
  • To ensure that high standards of presentation of food and displays are maintained at all times, keeping all areas (including service areas) clean, neat and tidy.
  • To ensure that all cutlery, crockery and service items are prepped in time for service, are clean, undamaged, topped up and presented accordingly.
  • Motivating, supporting and directing the team to cultivate positive team work with a focus on fulfilling the purpose of the contract.
  • Preparing end of race reports and collating accurate information for the post race client report. Reporting in a timely manner to the Contract Manager and client by the Wednesday following each race.
  • Feeding back to the team following the clients post race audit, briefing the team with the results, implementing points raised by the client and gathering feedback for improvement.
  • With direction from the Operations Coordinator, assisting where required the safe and efficient set up and pack down of the hospitality suite and motorhome.
  • Proactively communicating and delegating to the team and liaising with support teams, Operations Coordinator and client when necessary.
  • To proactively liaise with track services and the logistics function and other sources when necessary at each circuit/location to ensure the hospitality space, kitchen and outside space meet the specifications and that all functions (power, TV feeds, ventilation,branding, etc) are working correctly.
  • To consult the client on any decisions.
  • To brief the team at each race on programmes, events, timings, special guest requirements, health and safety, track specific information, job roles, responsibilities, etc.
  • To check and sign off hotel room bills at the end of stays ensuing team members are paying for their own incidentals.
