Job Description

TMT Investment Banking Associate - Corporate Finance & Consultancy - Central LondonOur client, one of the foremost TMT advisory firms working with the major corporates in this sector, is looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join its entrepreneurial team based in their Central London office.

  • Candidates for the TMT Investment Banking Associate - Corporate Finance & Consultancy role must have an interest in working in the Mobile Games, Sports and Gambling sectors.
  • Our client is a highly specialised advisory firm and as such expect all of their team to be experts in these spaces over time.
  • Our client offers two core advisory services - Pure Consultancy and Corporate Finance.
  • Corporate Finance - the focus is on sell-side mandates with some buyside work as well as capital raising
  • Consultancy side - predominantly working with clients on new market, product launch as well as general business strategy
  • Our client advises on transactions in multiple jurisdictions and the role will likely involve international travel
  • Our client is a small but growing firm so the candidate must be comfortable with an entrepreneurial environment where accountability is critical and supervision is light touch
    • Requirements
  • Development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for M & A and capital raising transactions
  • Perform various valuation methods: comparable companies, precedents and DCF
  • Develop recommendations for product offerings, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and valuations
  • Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations and pitch books
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients in order to expand the business
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions
  • Create presentations for client portfolios
  • Implement recommendations or solutions and ensure their clients receive the necessary assistance to carry it all out
  • Manage projects and programmes
    • Relevant skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Three or more years of experience in a finance or consultancy role, particularly on the quantitative side
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of deal structuring and closing principals.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel and VBA.
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
