Job Description

A leading welfare charity is seeking a Digital Communications Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months.Key responsibilities to include:

  • Pro-actively monitoring social media and responding in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Updating content for the website, ensuring that it is properly modified for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) purposes.
  • Supporting the delivery of the digital communications strategy
  • Supporting the Marketing and Engagement team with the planning and implementation of social media posts, advertising campaigns, and the evaluation of all activity
  • Supporting in gathering stories from clients and create engaging online content including video
Required Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of web editing, digital marketing and communications
  • Demonstrable experience working with social media, using social media listening tools and developing online content
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A self-starter with a keen appetite to learn, capable of working both independently and collaboratively at pace
  • Confident and capable user of IT, including social media platforms, website content systems (specifically WordPress), video and Microsoft packages
