Job Description

Technology Procurement ConsultantNegoitable RateLondon (Hybrid)12 Month ContractInside IR35As a Technology Procurement Consultant, you will work closely with the Senior Procurement Manager for Video Technology to drive key initiatives for critical service and product categories across the business with a focus on Content Delivery and Content Protection.The role will drive end-to-end ownership of the procurement cycle, including analysing market dynamics and company needs; leading, developing and executing sourcing strategy; selecting, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers, and managing supplier performanceand relationships. The role will involve cross-functional partnerships across North America and Europe, leveraging our global scale to drive optimal supply for supply assurance, pricing, innovation, quality, and time-to-market.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop comprehensive short- and long-term category strategies by using insights from analyzing the various industries and markets, assessing cross-company leverage, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Drive category initiatives (such as RFx or bespoke negotiations) by leading strategic deal analysis, driving selection and negotiation processes, documenting savings, and employing strong project management skills in collaboration with internal and externalstakeholders across the business.
  • Establish, negotiate, and execute strategic contracts (supply, support, development, etc. agreements). to capture agreed terms.
  • Ensure management of strategic supplier ecosystem to achieve optimal supply (for pricing, innovation, quality, time-to-market, etc.) across various categories.
  • Support strategic efforts around roadmap planning, strategic supplier ecosystems, industry trends, and competitive market dynamics related to cross-category planning
Requirements:
  • Category Ownership & Commercial Skillset: The ability to work independently and drive multiple projects and categories, utilizing data and information from various systems and/or people, driving commercial processes such as bids, negotiations, contracting,ensuring stakeholder and executive alignment, etc.
  • A self-motivated, can-do attitude: youll need to be able to hit the ground running and quickly establish strong and effective working relationships with your team and your stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: the ability to clearly communicate with/present to senior stakeholders (CTO, Directors) and ensure consistent alignment between technology and commercial strategies.
  • Category Expertise: youll need to leverage your technology procurement expertise to add value for your team and stakeholders. Youll need to have extensive experience of licensing arrangements, support & maintenance agreements, IPR, SaaS/PaaS and otherkey contractual terms within technology agreements. A background in Broadcast Media and/or Telco would be a significant advantage.
  • Analytical Expertise & Communication: The ability to conduct and communicate financial analyses - manipulating raw data, drawing fact-based conclusions, and then distilling such information into compelling, executive-level presentations.
  • Industry Insights: The ability to analyse industry and market trends and present clear insights and approaches to such trends.
  • Relationship Management Skills: The ability to collaborate with others and build relationships across multiple business units across international geographies, working in virtual, cross-functional teams.
