Job Description

Join the Close Brothers Risk team where you will develop policy and risk appetite, deliver reporting, and work closely across all lines of defence to provide advice and challenge across these technical risk domains. Working as part of the Risk team, our ideal team member will have previous experience in IT development, business continuity, disaster recovery or risk management, with experience across multiple of these domains. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide independent oversight and challenge relating to the Groups identification, assessment, control, review and reporting of technology and related risks e.g. third party / material outsourcing
  • Provide direction, advice and independent challenge on all BAU technology risk activities and project investment to business teams
  • Identify key risk issues and deliver high quality recommendations to enhance the control environment to the appropriate standard
  • Work closely with relevant first line of defence teams, providing advice and challenge on the operationalisation and embedding of the operational resilience framework
  • Provide independent oversight and challenge regarding the Groups identification, planning and testing of scenarios that could cause operational disruption
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal developmentand provide support through regular feedback. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • You have experience in IT development, business continuity, disaster recovery or risk management, with experience across multiple of these domains
  • You have experience in an Information and Cyber Security risk management role in financial services sector or professional services
  • You have the ability to interact effectively and build relationships with varied stakeholders in both technical and strategic roles
  • You have the ability to assimilate quickly relevant information in unfamiliar situations
  • You hold effective influencing and negotiation skills
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Have a professional certification in a relevant discipline, such as: CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA
