The successful candidate will join IHS Markit as a key member of the documentation team and will have the opportunity to work in a fast growing and challenging environment. Within the product documentation team,you will work as part of a team focused on documenting our suite of post trade solutions, to assist our clients in attaining a clear and concise understanding of our product offering. Duties and Responsibilities - "Your Role" As a Technical Writer within IHSMarkits corporate actions business, you will deliver effective and user-focused product user assistance (e.g., product documentation, online help tools, and editing), working with teams primarily based out of Dublin and Delhi. Key Responsibilities Providescoping and project planning for all aspects of documentation deliverables. Contribute to the preparation and delivery of high-quality end-user documentation. Contribute to the editing and review of documents from usability, readability, and technical perspectives.Liaise and coordinate with the wider product team regarding documentation deliverables as appropriate. Prioritise tasks in line with project/release deadlines, communicating progress and obstacles as necessary. Take ownership of documentation projects fromplanning to delivery, as required. Create and maintain status reports for the documentation manager. Is an agent of constant improvement of the quality of documentation - within the documentation team as well as within the entire company. Job Requirements- "About You" Skills and Experience Required A diploma/degree, preferably in an IT, technical communication, or relevant writing-related area Minimum of two years experience as a technical writer Excellent written and spoken English Effective written andverbal communication skills Ability to work independently and use own initiative to troubleshoot documentation related issues in a professional manner Ability to liaise internally with the wider product team to gain an understanding of products to producehigh-quality detailed documentation Ability to multi-task and work to specified deadlines Good working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and processes Required technologies and tools: Adobe RoboHelp or other industry-standard documentation authoringtools, Jira or other issue tracking software, Version control tools (e.g., SVN or Git), Confluence/SharePoint or other wiki Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in the financial technology field Knowledge of the financial services industry Desirabletechnologies and tools: HTML and/or XML, Web design , Experience creating video content Job Benefits - "What we offer" Cash incentive plan Options to work from home Flexible working hours to allow you to attend your family Opportunity to work with world expertsin the field Strong client base and broad product line Inclusion and diversity are critical to the success of IHS Markit, and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
