Job Description

Technical Security Consultant (SC Cleared)LondonI am currently working with an established Software Consultancy with demonstrated history in creating bespoke software solutions to a wide range of industries! They are currently working with a long-standing government client a Technical Security Consultant (SC Cleared)As a Technical Security Consultant, you will help clients clearly understand their exposure to cyber security threats/risks and put in place pragmatic and cost effective controls!Accountabilities

  • Understands business and information risk context of our customers and judging risk at a technical and business process level, particularly relating to vulnerability management and penetration testing
  • Performs or leads analysis of information risks at a system, platform or organisational level, makes risk judgements at the business unit or system-wide level
  • Proficiently translates framework controls into business requirements in complex situations
  • Leads the creation of risk assessments/reports
  • Perform as client liaison across multiple senior client stakeholders and interface to key IT suppliers
    • Delivery Effectiveness
  • Applies understanding of wider project picture to set milestones and deliverables with minimal guidance
  • Manage cross-departmental/business-wide changes and describes compelling change vision with defined outcomes. Evaluates the impact of change against performance results.
  • Contributes to the shaping of new organisational processes, practices and solutions and provides advice and general direction to stakeholders, including managers, in relation to the design and implementation of organisational development activity and outcomes. Drives the work-stream to deliver results.
  • Creates frameworks to structure thinking and uses it to articulate concepts
  • Ability to manage remediation activities and drive these to a successful conclusion across a range of business, security and IT client teams, even when working remotely
    • Skills and Experience Required
  • Significant experience of Vulnerability Testing and Penetration Testing tools and techniques
  • Able to work within a fast-paced environment with strong prioritisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent client stakeholder management skills, even when working remotely
  • Experience with vulnerability testing toolsets to perform SAST/DAST testing is essential
  • Financial Services experience is highly desirable, particularly within insurance
