Job Description

Overview:ArcticDBis a high-performance data-frame database that is optimised for time-series data, data-science workflows, and scales to petabytes of data and thousands of simultaneous users.Our ArcticDB business is looking for an entrepreneurial technical sales associate to join our growing team. Your primary responsibility will be to act as the main point of contact for existing and potential clients, providing technical sales consultancy, fosteringpartnerships, and delivering solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.There is great growth opportunity for the right individual who would like to leave a unique mark on the way we grow our business.We value entrepreneurial drive, a determination to get things done and flexibility to balance varied workloads.There is no educational pre-requisite though we are looking for someone with an interest in technology. We look for smart people who like to solve hard problems.The ideal candidate will have some prior sales experience, technical foundations and a powerful desire and willingness to learn on the job.The TeamThe ArcticDB team has a start-up feel whilst sitting under the wider Technology team at Man. It’s the perfect demonstration of the inclusive, collaborative, and innovative culture that forms the guiding principles of Man Technology.Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the ArcticDB leadership team to deliver the marketing and sales strategy
  • Assist the head of business development team in developing key accounts, industry analysis and shaping and delivering our business strategy
  • Own and co-ordinate sales engagements from lead generation to close
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with internal teams
  • Ad hoc client requests
Skills Required:
  • 2+ years’ applicable work experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience engaging with senior management and clients
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritise
