Job Description

Technical Manager Southeast England £50-60,000 plus Company Car/Car Allowance T2M Resourcing are excited to be recruiting for a Technical Manager on behalf of a growing engineering service, industrial cleaning, and test & inspection business. As Technical Manager you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and liaisingwith him on all regulatory and legislation requirements and changes in the sector.The Technical Manager will also work with sales teams to provide technical insight as well as operational teams to audit work completed and provide training. Requirements will include a thorough understanding and experience of BS999 fire damper regulationsand testing, duct and ventilation cleaning, and TR/19 Grease.Duties and responsibilities of a Technical Manager:

  • Providing technical authority and guidance to MD, inputting to strategic business planning.
  • Act as a senior leadership team member and champion service excellence.
  • Working with sales teams to assist with quotes and initial surveys.
  • Represent the company at networking events, technical seminars, and exhibitions.
  • Identifying market opportunities as a result of technical knowledge and working with sales teams.
  • Ensure all staff are trained and compliant with statutory regulations and qualifications.
  • Supporting with large projects on customer sites with initial visits and project plans.
  • Completing internal audits on reports and work carried out.
Key requirements to be successful as a Technical Manager:
  • Technical authority in fire damper testing and maintenance, duct and extraction cleaning, and TR/19 grease traps.
  • Knowledge of all regulations, compliance and legislation for vent hygiene, fire dampers, and air quality.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Previous training with organisations such as BESA, NAADUK and BICS
  • Technical mindset and able to adapt to legislation changes.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or relevant H&S qualifications.
As Technical Manager you will be based from home and work in a hybrid model between home, offices, and customer locations. There will be travel with this role and therefore a UK driving license is essential.
