The New Theatre, Oxford is preparing to reopen in 2021 with a busy and varied programme of live music, comedy, dance and musicals. Were looking for our next Technical and Building Manager to join the team and help us welcome audiences back this summer.Responsiblefor a permanent and casual team of technicians and maintenance staff, youll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to hundreds of performances and events each year. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting usis a key part of the role. Youll also be responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard and establishing a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning and management and practicaltechnical work, in a dynamic and fast moving venue, right in the heart of the beautiful city of Oxford. Previous technical experience in a live entertainment context is essential, but this does not have to be a theatre and we are keen to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds.
