Job Description

Hours: 37.5hrs per week (Mon - Fri)The Tenancy Sustainment Team North is a new Service joining our clients charity, in April 2022. They are now seeking individuals with leadership skills, to fill the roles of Team Manager within the service.Our client is a London-wide charity. Their vision is of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life. They help single Londoners by preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing,enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change.The TST North provides a pathway to independence for former rough sleepers, offering time-limited independent accommodation across North London boroughs. The aim of the service is to provide support that is tailored to client needs and quick and responsiveinterventions, that prevent tenancy breakdown, improves quality of life and promotes independence.As the Team Manager, you will manage a core team of TST Case Workers, providing a point of contact and a consistent quality of service delivery, for service users from referral to move-on. You will ensure that staff have the support, training and tools towork peripatetically in clients homes and in the community, providing advice and core support.You will also be responsible for developing positive relationships with community partners, to promote multi-agency working in order to provide comprehensive support to individuals within clearing house properties, in an agreed and prescribed area. The teamleader is required to manage positive working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure clients with multiple and complex needs can sustain their tenancies and progress through the pathway.To succeed, you will have:

  • Experience of helping vulnerable people or formerly homeless people, to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change.
  • An understanding of the issues involved in providing support to people with complex support needs, including enduring mental health needs, physical health needs, alcohol dependency and substance dependency.
  • Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to people.
  • Abilities in liaising with and co-ordinating the work of a number of individuals and/or agencies to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Experience of the management/supervision of staff or demonstrable willingness and capacity to develop management skills.
