Asa Team Manager you will provide support, recognition, guidance and professional oversight to team members within your practice area.This vacancy is for the Team Manager, Response (Front Door Duty & Assessment) - a newly created post and team following substantialinvestments across our childrens services - further increasing capacity in our Front Door. Weve recently invested and expanded this service further, to react to the feedback of our social workers and how our services need to shape for the future. You willbe an integral part of this future, operating as one of 5 Response Teams.What will you be doingYou will have the usual targets to achieve, but you will also have a very supportive leadership team around you, that are always accessible from the very top down.You will be a natural leader and able to get the best out of your colleagues and team members as we continue to implement further improvements across our services.If you can focus on the people behind the Social Worker title - we know you will achieve thebest for all of children and families. First and foremost, as a supportive manager you will be able to get the best from your team members whilst ensuring they are fully supported and know how valued they are. Ensuring a focus on the individual and assistingin personal and professional development through the several available pathways and programmes offered by our Childrens Services. These are peculiar times and there has been a shift in how we manage people, combining predominantly remote working with face-to-facemanagement (where essential and secure) - you will be an adaptive and responsive manager to meet team and wider service objectives. What we need from you You will have relevant professional qualification and experience in a relevant setting, such as CorporateParenting or Social Care that must include experience of management of staff, and supervision of other professionals. We are currently working remotely, but the usual place of work for these teams is Badminton Road, Yate, as we provide a serviceto our customers from the council offices. It is expected that you will return to the usual place of work in line with governmental guidance and local council policy in the future.
