About the team:Lambeth Drug and Alcohol Service is part of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). The service operates within SlaM’s Southwark and Addictions Directorate. The Trust provides recognised high quality learning and development opportunities as well as offering the chance to be involved in research projects through the Institute of Psychiatry and globally respected Addictions Department.Lambeth Drug and Alcohol Service operates as a well-established consortium with SLaM working in partnership to deliver services with ‘We Are With You’, ‘Phoenix Futures’, and ‘Humankind’. Lambeth Drug and Alcohol Service provides an excellent and first class range of drug and alcohol treatment options across the Borough of Lambeth. Our services are busy and dynamic and we offer a range of interventions catering for the needs of substance misusing/dependent clients resident in the London Borough of Lambeth. Treatment is personalised and targeted to ensure that all clients receive high quality care while being supported to achieve their goals. We have four teams which include an Opiate Team, Alcohol and Non-Opiate Team, an Aftercare Team, and a Shared Care Team. Our Shared Care Teaqm provide clinics from GP surgeries all across the borough of Lambeth. We work closely with local hospitals, social care services, housing and mental health agencies, and a range of other stakeholders including the local authority to deliver efficient and effective high quality services for Lambeth residents.About the role:We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, caring and creative people to come and join us and work within an exciting and fast paced environment that provides high quality addictions and recovery care to a diverse service user group. We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Clinical Team Leader to lead a multi-disciplinary team in Lambeth, clinically supervising a mixture of nurses and recovery workers who provide assessments, care planning, treatment and support to people with drug and alcohol issues to promote health, independence and recovery. The team also works with volunteers and peer mentors to enhance the offer. You will ensure that all services running from the sites are safe and effective, and deliver on all performance targets as well as achieving positive outcomes with service users. You will work with colleagues including the senior management team to develop strong partnerships and points of access across the borough, innovating in line with our new service contract model.In exchange, you will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your team’s ability to deliver the best care you can to our service users.About the location:The main Lambeth treatment service is based in Brixton, with services also delivered from GP surgeries all across the borough. The main treatment site, Lorraine Hewitt House, is very close to Brixton tube station and a ten minute walk from the local train station. It is close to the high street which is hub for a number of bus routes.SLaM Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). The Trust provides mental health services in a number of South London Boroughs including Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
