Job Description

SEN Teaching AssistantsLambethASAP StartAn outstanding Special Needs Schools in Lambeth is recruiting several SEN Teaching Assistants for daily and long-term cover. Working hours are 8.20am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.The school caters for students aged 11-19 with an EHCP for Autism (ASD) and complex needs. They have a strong academic focus; however, they also wish to develop students independence in a fun and nurturing way. As well as a varied curriculum, they alsooffer a range of therapies and extra-curricular activities.Job Details:

  • Supporting children and young adults with Autism and complex needs
  • Work with teachers and other support staff to create a stimulating and fun learning environment
  • Have a calm and positive demeanour with a sense of humour
  • Be confident supporting students on a 1:1 and whole class basis
  • Previous experience with Autism and complex needs
  • Knowledge of PECs and Makaton would be desirable but is not essential
  • Available to work from 8.20am - 3.30pm
