The successful post holder will be required to work with pupils based, in the first instance, in our Secondary phase for pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.The successful candidates will work as part of our teaching teams and providesupport to pupils in their learning, well-being and social and emotional development. This could be classroom based or as part of our outdoor or off-site learning teamsMaes Derw caters for 158 pupils from across schools in Swansea aged between 5 - 16 years.Allof our pupils have mental health, anxiety or social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and so, recent and relevant experience of working with pupils who have social, emotional and behavioural needs is essential. All posts are subject to an EnhancedDisclosure and Barring Service Check.Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) from 1st April 2016.The posts will be available from 1st January 2022
