This person will report directly into the Chief Compliance Officer and the opportunity will suit someone looking for an excellent platform to develop their career. Substantial earning potential is on offer too at this award-winning company.Some typical responsibilities will include: Focus on surveillance, global regulatory filings (e.g. takeover disclosures), core compliance (PAD, G&E, conflicts, OBI approvals) and counterparty onboarding Liaison with compliance consultants retained to assist with filings and core compliance duties Corporate governance - board meetings / minutes / corporate documentation Projects - assisting with automation of compliance processes Regulatory developments - read, analyse and interpret regulatory developments and summarise impact analysis for compliance group Assist with compliance training Maintain and update compliance calendar, including regulatory filings and upcoming regulatory developments. The idea candidate: Ideally have a legal, accounting or business academic Candidates with relevant industry qualifications (e.g. IMC, CISI Compliance) are preferred Several years UK hedge fund or asset management compliance exposure Background and knowledge of securities trading compliance is essential Monitoring and surveillance experience beneficial Highly organised individual who is able to meet deadlines and juggle competing priorities Excellent communication skills Use good judgment in managing highly sensitive information and/or situations Be a team player Our client is willing to reward well for the right person and we can discuss compensation on application.
