Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our education business. Reporting to our Director of Talent Acquisition, you will manage two Talent Acquisition Specialists and take day-to-day responsibility for the efficient and effectiveoperation of our Talent Acquisition service. The role will involve working closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition to build our capability in attracting high-quality hires across a range of functional areas. This is a hybrid role, with up to 3 daysworking from our offices in SE1 and other locations in London and 2 days working from home.Kaplan is one of the worlds largest and most diverse education and assessment providers. We operate in over 30 countries and maintain relationships and partnerships with more than 1,000 school districts, colleges and universities, professional bodies andover 10,000 businesses.Kaplans businesses are operationally diverse, with distinct products and audiences. Supporting their recruitment needs will require a flexible, pragmatic, hands-on problem-solver who can fit and adapt solutions. The business areas that the team will besupporting include UKs leading Finance and Accounting training provider, an Apprenticeships company, a qualification and assessment division responsible for delivering the England and Wales solicitors exam, a group of international colleges and schools deliveringUniversity Pathways and English Language education, an online degree provider working in partnership with 2 leading UK universities and a student accommodation provider.About the roleAs the Talent Acquisition Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day Talent Acquisition operations for our UK-based education businesses
  • Coaching, training and supporting 2 Talent Acquisition Specialists
  • Running regular team check-in sessions to monitor performance of live roles, addressing issues with underperforming vacancies eg boosting campaigns, using direct sourcing through Linkedin, CV databases
  • Developing and maintaining a KPI tracker for roles posted, hires made, time to hire and other metrics
  • Monitoring recruitment spend across roles and functions
  • Partnering with teams to trial and/or develop new sourcing strategies
  • Being an expert user of the ATS, and setting the standards for best practice both within the Talent Acquisition team and within our hiring manager community
You will also work closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition to:
  • identify issues with attraction and provide input for solutions
  • improve positioning of job opportunities and employer brand
  • develop new talent pools which drive diversity
  • find and evaluate new routes and methods for sourcing candidates
  • develop Talent Acquisition service delivery plans for the short, mid and long term
About you To succeed in the role, you will need:
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Solid experience of in-house recruitment/talent acquisition
  • Strong ATS experience and interest in recruitment technology
  • Ability to write, edit and produce effective recruitment adverts
  • Ability to coach and support team members to deliver high performance
  • Ability to gain quick understanding of teams, functions and their hiring needs and priorities
  • Excellent understanding of the recruitment lifecycle
  • Good grasp of candidate sourcing tools and methods
  • Solid knowledge of relevant UK legislation and best practice
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Interest in how to engage and attract candidates/develop employer brand and drive diversity
